Our Doctors
Steve Bagan received his M.D. degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX in 1976. He then took his ophthalmology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and has had an eye surgical practice in Fargo since 1980.
He is a cornea transplant surgeon, giving him valuable experience in all aspects of cornea surgery. He has had refractive surgery himself and is experienced in a wide range of vision correction procedures. He has performed and taught eye surgery in the Philippines, Nigeria, India, Peru, Nicaragua, Ukraine, Romania and other countries.
He and his wife, Angela, have seven children and reside in West Fargo. His special interests include reading, writing and numerous family activities.
Tom Strinden received his M.D. degree from University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks, ND, in 1988. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and has had an eye surgical practice in Fargo since 1995.
Dr. Strinden’s practice emphasis is refractive and cataract surgery but he also offers a range of services related to general ophthalmology. He is an associate clinical professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and is the President elect of the North Dakota Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He has performed volunteer mission surgery in third world countries.
He and his wife, Michelle, have four children and reside in Fargo. He is active in his church and enjoys outdoor activities with his kids such as hunting and fishing. He is on the Park Christian School Board and is a volunteer youth hockey coach.
Dan Levin is a 1988 graduate of Illinois College of Optometry and completed an internship in ocular disease at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has been practicing in Fargo since 1988. Dr. Levin has a full practice of optometry and specializes in all types of contact lenses, including bifocals and difficult fits, as well as co-managing refractive surgery patients for the practice.
He and his wife, Jane, have two children and reside in West Fargo. Dr. Levin’s interests are hunting, fishing, golf, and coaching his kids sporting events.
Eric Von Holdt is a 2009 graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis TN, and has a general optometry practice in our Grand Forks office.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have a one year old son named Lucas. He enjoys spending time with his family and also enjoys fishing, hunting, golf, basketball, Fighting Sioux hockey, Minnesota Vikings football, and Minnesota Twins baseball.
Our Staff
Our staff is well trained to understand your eye condition, and with twenty-five years in practice we have a wealth of experience. We have 3 certified ophthalmic technicians on staff and provide ongoing continuing education for staff to insure the best possible experience for you at Bagan Strinden Vision.
